Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who made her name with clever raps that tackled the issues of sexuality and race with a a boldly comic perspective. Then she branched out to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was in her teens. Following a focus on education, she graduated with a degree in journalism in college and a women's studies specialization. When she graduated, she started to pursue music as her main focus. My Vag, her song My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a huge hit across the Internet and was later featured on her first LP Yellow Ranger. It also contained viral hits such as the body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown New York Bitche$.
